Who I Am

Hi! Thanks for visiting. This will give you a taste of what I’m about. Send me a note, I’d love to learn more about you too!

What do I do? As an Atlanta based Yoga Teacher & Health Coach, I teach weekly group and private yoga classes plus I also work with individuals to achieve their personal wellness goals ranging from weight loss to stress management. My health coaching clients are both near and far. From 9-5, I’m aspiring to implement data driven, results oriented employee wellness programs at a financial services company.

Certifications: RYT200, WELCOA, Reiki Level 1, HHC-AADP, B.S. Finance

I’m a semi-reformed Corporate American pencil pusher from the New Orleans, Louisiana metro area. I Finance and Communication Studies from LSU and moved to Atlanta in 2007 for my first “real job”. When I entered the corporate world after graduating from college, I found myself in a demanding, time consuming role that allowed great professional experiences but left me unfulfilled.

I discovered yoga as a way to cross train for distance races.  I fell in love with the eloquent combination of strength, discipline, flexibility and creativity. I formally studied and was trained in  Ashtanga and Vinyasa by John Meredith (ERYT500), which is as much a psycho/spiritual passage as it is a physical journey. As an active student, I regularly take classes & workshops from master teachers and draw influence from Bikram, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Hatha, and Yin.

I am passionate about learning, wellness, cooking and travel. This equates to lots of messes in the kitchen and frequent experiments with my own diet, exercise and spirituality. I do not believe that I’ve “arrived”, I will always continue to grow and change and try new things. In the meantime, I want to share what I’ve learned along the way and empower you to find what works for you. By taking care of the mind, body and spirit we can heal our past injuries and prevent new ones. I believe we each have a special calling or purpose and by doing this work I’m answering one of my own callings.

I also hold a handful of certifications from the Wellness Council of America which has earned me the designation of a Faculty Member. I aspire to combine my professional background with my knowledge, experience and passion for wellness to create data driven, results oriented employee wellness programming in order to effect individual well-being and organizational development.

In short, I want to change the world by reshaping the definition of healthy workplace.

“I honor the place in you where the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Truth, of Integrity, of Peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, then we are One.” – Translation of Namastae
